In preparation of their The Glades, Putra Heights project, Sime Darby Property Bhd had planned for a zen-nature inspired showroom. The driving theme for this showroom was the use of natural light to create a sense of ethereal beauty. With cool-earth tones, such as coffee brown, grey, and gold, exhibited through the wood, and marble textures, the designers wanted curtains and blinds that could soften the look. On request by their Thai interior designer, Curtain Library was tasked to tailor-make these products for the project.
There were two styles of ceiling-to-floor curtains and one curtain with blinds sets we tailored for the showroom.
This project was an opportunity to craft French pleat curtains the ‘right’ way as most of our clients skip on lining their curtains in order to reduce cost. Curtains with linings have an added layer of protection against wear and tear that allows a fuller appearance, as seen with our bedroom curtains. The clients for these projects were willing to invest in quality for this project as it was a showroom, therefore, the designers were able to request for these curtains. However, the real highlight in working with the designer was in crafting their 20 ft double volume sheer curtains. With its height, these curtains took centre stage in filtering natural light into the dining-living room area. It is safe to say that the finishing results of our curtains and blinds managed to help our designers realise their vision for a zen-inspired space.
